11th Amendment

The Judicial power of the United States shall not be construed to extend to any suit in law or equity, commenced or prosecuted against one of the United States by Citizens of another State, or by Citizens or Subjects of any Foreign State.

Analysis & Application

You cannot sue a state that you don't live in.

This is important because a lot of the different states have different laws regarding healthcare, guns and other things. This ensures that even if someone doesn't agree with one state, if they don't live there they can't do anything about it.
