Section 1. No law, varying the compensation for the services of the Senators and Representatives, shall take effect, until an election of Representatives shall have intervened.

Section 1. Any law that changes members of Congress’ pay/compensation should only take effect after the next election of representatives.

This is great because it prevents current Senators and Representatives from benefiting themselves, since they are the ones dealing with the creation/acceptance of laws.
